Babar Azam creates world record as T20I captain
Babar Azam etched his name in the annals of cricket history as he led Pakistan during the first T20I against Ireland on Friday
Pakistan's T20I captain, Babar Azam, made a world record on Friday as he led the Men in Green during the first T20I against Ireland in Dublin.
Babar has now led Pakistan in 77 T20Is, setting a new milestone for the most appearances as captain in T20Is for any country.
This surpasses the previous record held by Aaron Finch, who had captained Australiain 76 T20Is.

Babar is also just one victory away from becoming the most successful T20I captain, eclipsing the record held by Brian Masaba from Uganda, who boasts 44 wins as captain. Babar is currently tied with Masaba with 44 wins as captain.
