Former Pakistan T20I captain has 84 wickets in the shorter format


KARACHI: Pakistan pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi achieved a unique milestone during the second T20I against Ireland on Sunday in Dublin.

The 24-year-old completed 300 wickets in international cricket after dismissing Irish captain Paul Stirling. He is also the fifth youngest bowler to the milestone.

With a remarkable career spanning 145 matches, his tally includes 113 scalps in Test cricket, 104 in ODIs, and an impressive 84 in T20Is.

It must be noted Pakistan opted to bowl first in the second game of the series.

Both teams made one change each as for Ireland Barry McCarthy replaced Graham Hume meanwhile for Pakistan, experienced pacer Mohammad Amir returned to the playing XI in place of Shadab Khan, who failed to contribute a single run with the bat and conceded 54 runs in four overs with the ball in first T20I.
